CANEO series10 Touch Buttons and LED Signals Are Now UL Listed
UL certification expands CANEO series10 options for North American machine builders, panel builders and OEMs, with select models carrying UL Type 4X environmental ratings for demanding industrial applications.
CAPTRON has reached an important milestone for its CANEO series10 product family in North America: CANEO series10 Touch Buttons and LED Signals are now UL Listed for the U.S. and Canada.
For machine builders, panel builders, OEMs and automation professionals who require UL Listed components, the certification opens new opportunities to incorporate CANEO series10 into industrial control and machine designs.
Select models also carry a UL Type 4X environmental rating, providing additional options for applications involving washdown and other demanding industrial environments.
Removing a Specification Barrier for North American Customers
For many North American equipment manufacturers, component certification is an important part of the specification and design process. Even when a component meets the functional requirements of an application, the absence of the required listing can prevent it from being specified.
The new UL Listing helps remove that barrier for CANEO series10.

UL Type Ratings for CANEO series10 Models
Environmental UL Type ratings vary by CANEO series10 model.
UL Type 4X:
- CS10S
- CS10H
- CM10S
- CM10H
UL Type 1:
- CS10K
- CM10K
The Type 4X rating is particularly relevant for equipment designers evaluating components for demanding environments where environmental protection is an important consideration.
Combined with the different Standard, Stainless Steel and Hygienic configurations available within the CANEO series10 family, the new certification gives designers additional options for matching the operator interface to the requirements of their equipment and operating environment.
Capacitive Touch Operation and Visual Signaling in One Design Family
CANEO series10 combines capacitive touch operation and visual signaling within a coordinated industrial design platform.
CANEO series10 Touch Buttons use capacitive sensing technology for touch-based machine and equipment operation, providing an alternative to conventional mechanical pushbuttons.
CANEO series10 LED Signals provide highly visible machine-status and process indication while maintaining the same CANEO design language.
This allows equipment designers to combine touch operation and visual indication across a machine or system while maintaining a consistent operator-interface design.
UL Certification for the U.S. and Canada
The CANEO series10 products covered by the certification have been evaluated by UL Solutions as Auxiliary Devices under UL File E550208.
For the United States, the products are certified under NKCR – Auxiliary Devices and have been evaluated in accordance with UL 60947-1, Edition 6 and UL 60947-5-1, 4th Edition.
Certification also extends to Canada under NKCR7 – Auxiliary Devices Certified for Canada, with the products evaluated in accordance with CSA C22.2 No. 60947-1:22 and CSA C22.2 No. 60947-5-1:22.
The U.S. and Canadian certificates were issued May 27, 2026, to CAPTRON Electronic GmbH.
